There are many reasons to pursue higher education: to
enrich the mind, to postpone entering the workforce or to make
friends from around the country. But for most people, the main
reason to pursue higher education is to prepare for future careers.
Since people
often work until they are 65 or older, it’s important to explore your options.
Here are four possible careers. Are you good with numbers? Accounting might be
the career for you! Do you love going to the doctor’s office? As a physician’s
assistant, you can spend everyday in scrubs.
If these don't
sound appealing, there are many other careers to consider. Visit the U.S. Bureau
of Labor Statistics (bls.gov) or The Princeton Review (review.com) for more facts
and figures on other top careers. The key to finding the perfect career is to
know the facts, test out your options and have fun. Remember if you don’t
like one, you can always go back to school.
